The U.S. Census counts every resident in the United States, and is required by the Constitution to take place every 10 years.

Data obtained from the 2010 Census affects the number of representatives each state will have in the U.S. House of Representatives.

The information the census the census collects determines how over $400 billion dollars of federal funds is spent on infrastructure and services.
